The passenger seat is not working (last 2 weeks), it turns itself off after cca 1 minute. I'm trying to diagnose what's wrong with my passenger seat, but I'm stuck now.ġ. Thanks for everyone’s input on this forum! The use of a large, sharp kitchen knife was helpful.Īfter it was all back together, voltage measures 7.1 v on the drivers seat and the heat is abundant. The most difficult part of this was removing the old heating pad and not tearing foam along with it. After some tedious work getting the leather off the bottom cushion, I was glad to see the original pad (see attached picture) had the same 12777552 part number. I couldn't find the 12777553 pad for sale online so decided to take my chances with the 12777552 pad from eEuroparts. My 2011 9-5 Aero has sport seats with the leg extension but not ventilated. This confirmed that something is wrong with the driver’s side bottom pad. The passenger side measured around 5.8 v. Also, I measured the voltage across the brown and black wires (both bottom and back pads must be connected while doing this) and found it to be 12.7 v. After further testing I determined the driver's side bottom heating pad had more resistance than the passenger side bottom.
